In Marksville, Louisiana a 6 year old boy died on Monday due to a high speed car chase with the police. The situation occurred when the father, Chris Few, was escaping from officers after he hit a marshall's car. After the officers followed the father on a car chase and opened fire.
What the police didn't know was that 6 year old Jeremy Mardis was in the passenger seat during the altercation and during the fire was shot and killed and his father was severely injured. The boy was shot in the head and chest multiple times.
It's very unfortunate that the police are so quick to open gunfire on something as simple as a rear end, but I do see that anyone that is chased on a wild car pursuit is labeled very dangerous, and unfortunately the father made a poor decision choosing a very bad time to get into a car chase with the police and lost his son.
