Saved a school from being shot up from a teenage boy (vanessa de la cruz)
In a Baltimore suburb there was reported 3 break ins into cars. Suspecting a 16 year old who would commit this crime when located police found he had existing plans to attend two high schools and bring two explosive devices with a gun. He now has been charged as a juvenile with several charged such as possession of a destructive device, theft, and handgun violation. I think it is great that the police officer reported the minor quickly because if not the teenager would have gone through with his plans and no one knows how many lives would have been at risk. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/03/us/baltimore-school-shooting-foiled/index.html?hpt=us_c2

Today it feels like more and more teens are growing violent in the U.S. Luckily this story isn't like the others and the teen was contained before he should have hurt himself and others. I wonder what could have caused this behavior, and I think it's important that people focus on this issue of teen violence in the U.S
ReplyDeleteAll these stories of teen violence seem to be growing in frequency. Maybe this has always been a problem and more light is being shed on it.
ReplyDeleteHow can you relate this to APUSH? How about antebellum prison reform? or the 2nd ammendment?
