Earlier last week, a plane carrying nine people, including a well-known Christian minister and his wife, crashed due to severe weather. They were on their way to the island of Grand Bahama when heavy rain made it difficult for the pilot to see, causing the plane to crash into a container crane in Freeport as they tried to land. The passengers were Reverend Myles Munroe, a prominent pastor in predominately Christian Bahamas, along with his wife and several members of his Bahamams Faith Ministries. Munroe founded Bahamas Faith Ministries International 1890s and quickly became an influential religious leader amond many evangelical Christians, giving sermons arouind the world and appearing on televangelist Benny Hinn's popular programs.
It's always very heartbreaking when a prominent figure in a large group of people's lives passes away, especially in such a freak-accident. I hope that those affected by this loss are able to cope and move on. I also hope that this accident will help prevent flights that could potentially be very dangerous from taking off.

My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families as well. I do have one question in the back of my head though. Don't people check the weather before sending out planes? Wouldn't they have been able to see this storm coming? Whether they were or not, it still is a tragedy that many people's lives were lost.
ReplyDeleteThat's really sad, although it does sound as if it could have been prevented. But hopefully those who lost someone in the crash will be okay.
