Joran van der Sloot, a Dutch citizen convicted of murder and a main suspect in the disappearance of an American teen a few years ago, has received stab wounds about 2 inches deep. The wounds seem to be self-inflicted, penitentiary authorities say. Van der Sloot's lawyer states that he believes other prisoners are targeting him because he is so well-known on an international level. Van der Sloot is currently serving a 28 year sentence in a Peruvian prison for admitting to strangling and killing a Peruvian business student.
This is kind of a sick thing, and it seems like van der Sloot just want attention. He was submitted to a "tougher" prison for bad behavior, and is currently serving time there now. Any murderer should just lay low, and not want any more attention for the crimes he has committed, at least in my opinion.
