Recently discovered, a man from Vietnam has stolen millions of American's personal and financial data, stolen from a company owned by credit agency Experian. He was selling our people's data to more than 1,300 “customers”. These people paid close to $2 million
for Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, and other sensitive
data.
With increasing amounts of identity thefts, people need to be self responsible for maintaining their own identities as well. Securing your identity in the best possible way includes maintaining strong passwords, checking your credit reports
at least once a year, and taking seriously any notification from a
company that your account has been compromised.
Oh my goodness this is crazyyy! Glad mine or anybody in families identities werent stolen!
ReplyDeleteWhile I am depressed about the number in my bank account, I am very glad I was not one of these people and had my money stolen! People need to be more careful with their information and who they give it to.
