This past Sunday, September 8, 2013, a fan fell from Candlestick Park in San Francisco. He was 30 years old attending the season opener of the 49ers and Packers. He fell to his death. Witnesses have told police that he seemed intoxicated prior to his fall.
This is one of many tragic incidents that have occurred at large events. A couple of people have fallen to their death at large sporting events. This could easily be prevented and it's sad that lives are ending where you would least expect it. You pay to go watch and enjoy a game and suddenly everything just... happens. What do you think these arenas should do to prevent tragedies like this from happening?

Wow! things like this are scary, but as far as this goes, I think there's not much they can really do other than re-think the design of future stadiums/arenas to make their layout more safety-friendly. Other than that, there's really not much they can do since the stadiums have already been built and there aren't many ways to GUARANTEE safety on those stairs. Things like this could happen anytime and anywhere, and you also mentioned that he was intoxicated when the fall occurred; so it should really be more of a choice of the individual person - like the choice to get drunk or not or be very cautious on the stairs or not. That's just my opinion.
