Rowan Barcham: Man, girlfriend indicted in Tennessee quadruple slaying

Man, girlfriend indicted in Tennessee quadruple slaying

Jacob Allen Bennet, a 26 year old man, and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Brittany Lina Yvonn Moser were charged with murder on Friday. The two were involved in a marijuana exchange, which led to a robbery, ultimately ending with the deaths of three young men and a young mother. Their bodies were found in a car on a rural road in Tennessee. Bennett's was arrested after being discovered of a parole violation, 20 hours after the shootings. It was later discovered in the Rhea County jail that the murders were linked to him.

The couple was indicted by a grand jury in Cumberland County. Bennett is up against four counts of felony murder and premeditated murder, along with two counts of attempted aggravated robbery. Moser faces these same indictments, excluding the premeditated murder allegations.

Authorities and community members are unsure of what set off the gunshots during a marijuana transaction, but locals remain mournful over the tragic event.

  1. Wow that is terrible that a marijuana exchange led to all of this. I hope they find out soon how there was a gun involved in this whole incident.

  2. The effect marijuana has on our society today is absolutely ridiculous. People really don't know what they are engaging in when they partake of these stupid ideas.

  3. Just to think this started because of some weed, people had to lose their lives because of it. It's disgusting, what is our world coming to?
