Maya Choski and Grace Gericki were two girls who didn't find any of the clothes in the little girls section "cute"
So rather than wear clothing that she didn't find suitable for her, she decided to start her own line of clothes called Girls Will Be.
This line of clothing features multiple different styles of Gender Neutral Clothing so that the kids who wear them will feel comfortable
enough with who they are.
Kudos to these girls! Not only did they avoid giving into peer pressure, but they also had the initiative and
sticktoitiveness to do something that has now helped dozens of women! It's not up to other people to deem a persons outfit
"Right for them" or not. If a big girl feels comfortable in tiny clothes, that's fine. We shouldn't let society tell us what's cute and what's not cute
based on body types.
I think it's great that these girls decided start their own business and find things that fitted them more! Props to them! I also agree with your comment about how this probably helped them avoid peer pressure.
ReplyDeleteChildren with aspiring dreams put into action? Suitable clothing AND gender neutral?
ReplyDelete"Get in losers, we're going shopping."
(I'm sorry I just had to.)
In all honesty, that's awesome. I'm so proud of those girls!
