Selma's Stage for Democrats-Mia Murphy

Democrats who want to run for presidency will attend the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma to walk for equal rights. They do this for the African Americans who had been mistreated for years and years.  The candidates will use their own life stories to get the audience to relate to them and hopefully convince them well enough to vote for them. I think this relates most directly to "Bloody Sunday" which occurred on March 7, 1965. The word got around about the marches and sit-ins because of the advancement of technology. Bloody Sunday brought the awareness of voting rights for African Americans.
