A fire gutted parts of Notre Dame Cathedral and altered the Paris skyline
A catastrophic fire and go to Notre Dame Cathedral In Paris on Monday. This alter the city skyline and threatened up a tent symbol of Catholicism at the start of the holy week. The fire burned for several hours and ended up destroying the 850 year old cathedral’s iconic spire and roof before the firefighters could contain the fire, on the early Tuesday morning. Hundreds of firefighters were deployed to the scene, for part of the afternoon flames of smoke billowed from the cathedral as firefighters in cranes sprayed water onto the structure. Only one firefighter was seriously injured.
This is honestly very shocking to me, such a big part of Paris was destroyed. And not knowing what caused the fire is scary and sad because this was such a big part of their religion and it is such an old artifact. Losing something this big must be heartbreaking for many people.
