This article was written a year after the tragedy happened so it contains conclusions of the it and the right amount of victims. The shooting a year ago was all over the news and social media so I knew about it and kept up-to-date for a while, what I did not know was that the area is dimming it's lights today. This article can relate to the honoring of 9/11 annually, an event that will forever be in the heart of US history. The article is supposed to be sad and melancholic, though it stresses them the idea of moving forward. The author's point of view is to empathetic. This article was written to inform of how Las Vegas is mourning the shooting a year later. This article is important because it shows how it hit Las Vegas so close to home and how people are still affected by the shooting today.
I am glad to see the people of Las Vegas are showing their respect and continue to mourn the lives lost a year ago. This was a tragic event in our history that will always be remembered. Many lives were lost from the disastrous decision Paddock made, but they will always have a place in our hearts. Lily Philips
