Zander Pryor-alumnae of Christine Ford's school publish letter supporting her

Brett Kavanaugh, Donald Trump's pick to fill the supreme court vacancy, has been accused of assault by a woman named Sarah Ford who attended the all girls  highschool he worked at. He has naturally denied the claim but in response, over two hundred alumnae have signed a letter affirming Ford's claims and giving her support. Many who signed did not know Ford personally but find her experience to be both quite personal and not uncommon at the school they attended. A response letter was written and signed by sixty five women, asserting Mr. Kavanaugh as a respectful and honorable man who has always treated women well.

I find this letter to be a sign of the real progress we've made as a country but also indicative of how far we have to go. Despite it being 2018, we still don't know how to treat survivors of sexual assault. It reminds me of many period in history, particularly the women's suffrage movement. It was effective because the women supported and showed up for each other. People are taking Ford seriously and I believe a lot of the credit is due to those who support her, giving credibility to her claim.
