On August 14, 2018 an 11 year old boy had gotten into a replica of Florida's election results website in only 10 minutes. During the 10 minutes he had managed to change names and tallies at a hacking convention, which took place during the Def Gon security convention. This boy is a very smart and talented person, the quickest of 35 kids around his age to hack into the system. The security convention was being held to test the elections infrastructure along with the possible bad outcomes. "It would be extremely difficult to replicate these systems since many states utilize unique networks and custom-built databases with new and updated security protocols," was a statement made by The National Association of Secretaries of State. This meant that yes, it had welcomed the conventions efforts, but the real systems had additional protections. Though participants at the convention had also managed to change party names to their own and add votes to whoever candidate they wanted.

I think it’s very good that he’s that smart but I don’t think people should condone hacking.
