Brandon Spigner - Just do it Kaepernick
The controversial athlete Colin Kaepernick has landed a deal with Nike. After Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem in 2016 he has been the topic of conversation in the media. He has been called everything you can think of for his efforts to shine a light on the very real police brutality and social inequality issues in America. His action caused a debate on whether or not it was "acceptable" to protest during the national anthem.
The article was produced by the USA Today. The article is important for everyone because he took a huge risk the help better the United States and for a while it looked like they were going to completely black ball him, and this goes to show when you fight for what's right it pays off if you stay committed to it. It is very inspiration for me and tons of Black People everywhere.

I’m glad to hear that someone who has been hailed as an activist an civil rights fighter has not fallen to the same fate as many others and been totally shut out of the media cycle due to his views and actions being seen as controversial. I would love to hear what historical event this could be related to.
ReplyDeleteI take comfort in the fact that no matter what Colin has been called or judged for, he continues to fight for what he believed in. It’s good to know that people like that still exist in the world to be good role models.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to hear that Colin Kaepernick hasn't been silenced by others and continues to spread his message. Now he has found a much bigger platform to spread awareness and is being supported by Nike, an influential brand.
