Friend describes frantic attempt to save "screaming" shark attack victim
On the beach in Massachusetts Arthur Medici, 26, sadly passed away this past Saturday due to a shark bite on both of his legs. Earlier that day he was out in the waters of Cape Cod National Seashore riding the waves on his boogie board with Isaac Rocha, a really good friend. Medici didn't see the shark but  after he was bitten Rocha spotted the tail of the shark and quickly grabbed him out of the water and tied the strap of the boogie board around his leg to stop bleeding. Everyone that was close to the scene came and helped get Medici to the nearest hospital. The  National Park Service put a warning to not swim near the seals because marine biologist, Greg Skomal believes that the shark most likely mistaken Medici for a seal. They were in the general area of where the seals stay and get attacked by sharks.

This article was published September 17, 2018, 7:58 AM on CBS News. All throughout nature has been abused and forgotten by mankind. For example the Native Americans toke care of the earth and other creatures that live on it. But when the Europeans stepped in and toke over nature  was pushed out and mankind grew and expanded to today. All of natures offerings was taken for granted and taken over. We need to learn to be more conscious of nature and animals around us because after all its their world too just as much as it is ours. So even when you are going on a nice walk around Arbor Hills or swimming in the ocean you need to be careful of wildlife.

  1. This is definitely scary and makes me not want to go in the ocean. I feel like there have been so many more shark attacks lately, so it feel likes it is not as safe to be in the water. I feel very bad for the victim's family and can't imagine what he went through.
