“Head of Palestinian refugee agency rejects U.S. criticism, says his organization will survive” By: Martina D’Orso

          In January the United States cut off its funding of $446 million for the U.N. Agency which helped support Palestinian refugees. This has caused further tensions between the US and Palestine and reveals even more of Trump’s bias toward Israel. Trump does not want to fund the agency because he thinks that giving the money has not been helping the Palestinians do something with their refugees and solve the problem. So far there have not been any repercussions but if they don’t get the necessary funding it may hurt many people who need the money and further cause more tensions between Palestine and the US.

This situation is very alike to the one we had in the 1960s where the US government wanted to make peace and suppress Israel in fear that it would retaliate and also make peaceful relations with Israel’s neighboring countries while undermining Palestine’s problems of the border attacks and other needs.
