Cop starts 15 year prison sentence after murder of Jordan Edwards.

Former Balch Srings officer Roy Oliver  has been taken to Texas Department of Criminal Justice for his 15 year prison sentence for murdering 15 year old Jordan Edwards last year (April 29, 2017).  Oliver shot Jordan who was sitting in his car with his brothers and friends as the car drove away from the officer. Oliver testified that he thought the car was gonna hit his partner (Tyler Gross). They pair had been responding to a noisy house party. He was later found later guilty of murder on August 28. Oliver was also accused for pointing a gun at two women after a car crash wo weeks before Jordan was killed.

  1. I find this to be a very sad story, because cops are the people that are supposed to protect, not cause harm. It is obvious, that not after one attempt at harm, but twice, that this cop should be punished, as his reasons to threatening/killing others were unjust.

  2. While I am saddended by this story, I am also satisfied to know that justice is being served and that he will not walk away unpunished. What sets this case apart from all the ones like it resulting in a verdict of not guilty?
