Cruz Climbs In Polls but Trump still Takes the Lead - Emily Rosuck, 4th

While Trump still holds a 20 point lead in the New Hampshire primaries, support for Senator Ted Cruz is on the rise. He is second place at 14%, less than have of Trump's 34% lead, but with only one-third of Republicans having made up their minds on who they'll vote for, it's entirely possible that number of votes for Cruz will increase exponentially. Cruz has easily been the Repubilcan candidate that grew the most, rising from 6% to 14%. But Trump is still up in polls due to his views on the subjects voters seem to find most important - the economy and the ISIS threat.

I can't decide who I hate more between Trump and Cruz, because while Trump is by far the least informed and most unequipped candidate, Cruz is also very arrogant in his views, but is exponentially more dangerous than Trump because of his established political credibility. While Trump might have voter appeal as of right now, even if he does win, which he won't, he has no respect in politics or more importantly, from politicians. This is in contrast to Cruz, who has ideas that are sometimes equally as narrow-minded as Trump's, but unlike his opponent, Cruz is more likely to have support from those who have the ability to actually pass and put into effect these new laws.

For example, when Trump says anything demeaning about women's rights, anyone who isn't a Trump voter notices and condemns him for it. However, when Cruz goes on campaigns to defund Planned Parenthood and revoke women's reproductive rights, not only do voters agree, but Congress agrees too.

Our current political situation doesn't just concern me, it terrifies me, and it should terrify you, too.
