Bethany Wolfe 3rd pd Big Macs and QUINOA

summary:
The new series of Next McDonald's just opened in Hong Kong and it features- wait for it- a SALAD BAR. Yes McDonald's has stepped up its game to reveal sleek new furnishings complete with an extensive salad bar. While Big Macs and super-sized fries are still an option, the Next series offers the Create Your Taste option which allows customers to personalize their burgers via touchscreen. The only downside to this innovation is the increased price.
analysis:
It's really interesting to see McDonald's upgrade from greasy burgers to spring greens. Also, it's good to know that the next generations are more health concious. Hopefully, the Next Series will flourish and come to America.

  1. I love that our generation is so obsessed with healthy eating that we could get McDonald's to change from their fast food ways. Even though I would still never eat at McDonald's, but this is a better option for the people that eat there regularly

  2. Wow this is very surprising! But i think its a step in the right direction from the "Food Inc." America, to hopefully a healthier one!

I like how other countries have added their own ethnic flavor or healthy touch to their McDonalds. America needs to step up their game and get more healthy food in their fast food corporations.

  4. This is great. I think it's awesome that McDonald's is not conforming to the stereotype it created. It's moving with the generation. Always dynamic, which is what makes businesses continue. Remember Blockbuster, anyone? Exactly.

  5. Healthier chain restaurants like Panera and Zoes Kitchen have certainly gained popularity within the past decade, and it's about time McDonalds jumped on that train.
