Stephanie Gallman reports on the suspension of a local teacher whose bitter tweets sparked controversy. While she could have found a better way to vocalize her opinion she is free to express it due to the bill of rights (and her employers are free to do what they wish given this new information, including fire her). However, it is disheartening but not surprising to me that this got national coverage and there has been more swift action in removing her from a school where she posed to immediate threat then in apprehending Darren Wilson.
I also did my current event on this subject. It is just such a horrible thing to see people are stooping so low to do this.

ReplyDeleteWhile she does have the right to say what she wants, it is completely inappropriate for a teacher to voice this when all their students are able to see it...
