Passenger jet passed through trajectory of N. Korean rocket, South Korea says

On Tuesday, a Chinese passenger jet carrying approximately 200 passengers flew through a North Korea rocket trajectory. With no warning, North Korea fired it at 4:17 pm for training purposes. Kim Min-Seok, a spokesperson for the South Korean Defense Military said that "It was a very dangerous situation," he stated during a news briefing. "North Korea's provocative actions violate the international navigation laws and pose a great threat to the safety of civilians." However, the Chinese government must confirm that the rocket was actually fired from North Korea. Thankfully, there wasn't a threat of collision, but there needs to be a warning.
Supposedly, it was one of seven that was launched on tuesday and North Korea defended them. "It is justifiable self-defense behavior for us to conduct these military exercises in order to preserve peace in the region and to protect the safety of our people and our country," the North's Korean People's Army said in a statement given by state media. The recent military tests given by the US and South Korea anger North Korea and they say that they pose the large scale tests as a 'rehearsal for invasion'.

Maybe warn someone next time you decide to launch 7 missiles into the air?

  1. There's nothing justifiable about firing missiles at a passenger plane. What is even going on here?

  2. It's a good thing that the jet wasn't hit. I wouldn't doubt that such an event could have caused a war, since tensions are already so high between those two countries...
