So mustaches are actually in...what a surprise. The inability to grow a thick beard has some men turning to surgery. A transplant can run up to $10,000 for a full beard. The way the beard transplant works is that, hair follicles are taken off from a place such as under the chin and implanted at a diagonal position so it can grow naturally. The procedure is painless and takes a whole day to be completed, although it is practically harmless, there are still some risks, just as any other surgery. After the procedure, it is said for the hair to be really itchy at first but it wears away after a few days.   The infatuation about the beard has come to being seen as "vogue" or "hipster" and people are seeing that this style usually goes in and out of fashion. I guess we can all say that the beauty of the beard never gets old! ;)
I personally have never found beards to be attractive but I guess what people say is true. Although I still think Ryan Gosling looks better without the beard, people have found this to be in style throughout the winter and such which makes a lot of sense. I personally wonder how long this whole beard thing is going to come to pass although I know they have been around for ages. Who knows? May the beard reign supreme!

  1. huh. can't say i'm really into the beard type myself, but this is still really interesting. it's easy to forget that men feel social pressures to look a certain way too, even if it's to a somewhat lesser extent. i say that but now images of abocrombie and fitch models are popping into my heads...yeah guys can have it bad too. i just hope that whoever gets this surgery wants it for themselves rather than to follow a certain trend c:
