Man drowns to save two others- Ashley Barnes 2nd

A 36 year old man dived into the Pacific Ocean to save two people, one aged 49, and the other 14. This was taken place in San Pedro, California. It is believed by the police and fire departments that the people were fishing and taking pictures, when they fell in. The 49 year old was able to get out of the water by himself, the 14 year was transported by divers to the hospital. The "good samaritan"'s attempt was to save both of these people. Divers retrieved his body as well; however he had no pulse and was not breathing. He was later pronounced at the hospital dead.

Enjoying activities to a certain extent can be fun, but it is always good to be careful, no matter what. Of course, I realize that mistakes happen. It's unfortunate that such an event turned out so devastating.  The 36 year old risked- and essentially lost- his life, trying to protect others.

  1. By risking his own life to save the lives of strangers is a heroic task. It is very unfortunate to hear that the man who saved these two people passed away. I do agree that people should be more carutious to avoid mishaps in the future.
