Anyone who visited the Grand Canyon this past Friday or Saturday got a very rare and unique view of the Grand Canyon. A massive and thick carpet of fog covered all of the gorges and valleys within the canyon. This was a weather phenomenon. The very unusual temperature inversion that caused the fog is very uncommon. Here is exactly how the temperature inversion works: the warmer air from above traps the cold air and fog near to the ground.
I have never seen the Grand Canyon, but I know that I personally would have loved to see it like this. It gives the Canyon an eery and mysterious vibe. This is so beautiful, and I am extremely glad that it was captured in photos.

I have been to the Grand Canyon before and it is a very beautiful sight to see. Everyone should put it on their bucket list of things to do. I bet seeing the Grand Canyon with this weather was much better then seeing it when it is a normal day.

That looks breathtaking. At first though, I kept reading fog as frogs and was pretty creeped out. I'm also very glad this was caught on camera. I went to the Grand Canyon when I was really young, and would love to go back.
ReplyDeleteThis is breathtaking. Those who witnessed it our extremely lucky.
