Claire Zimmerman: New York Dug Up Really Old Stuff

As the title blatantly says, in New York, they recently dug up some artifacts that were up to 10,000 years old. The area which they sent them to was by an old French and Indian War battle ground, so they also found artifacts from that war. This whole area has been a hot spot for artifacts, but this has been the first time they've discovered stuff this old. These are the oldest artifacts found in the New York State.

I think it's remarkable how things can survive that long. I found this article fascinating, because it's not everyday you find things 10,000 years old. It makes you realize how old our Earth is, and how there is still so much we don't know about it. We think we know everything, but then we find more stuff that may prove us wrong. Also, this makes me wonder how long our stuff will last. In 10,000 years, will people find my little cellphone still intact? I'll (most likely and hopefully) never know.
