Weekend storms killed 8 people in the South. Now the Northeast braces gusty winds- Nik Puri

This past weekend, 8 people were killed in the South due to a storm in Texas and Mississippi. There are many power outages with the majority being concentrated in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Winds are expected to rise up to 55 mph, which could lead to airport delays in cities like Boston. Tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail, are highly expected to take place later this week in the Rockies/ Great Plains area. Dangerous weather is expected to continue throughout the week, so it's important to be prepared for these types of events.

  1. This is crazy the think that just thunderstorms can do this and be this dangerous to human life and this connects to the dust bowl as well.
