Jordan Gillette- Biden under fire on the behalf of Lucy Flores's misconduct allegations

Summary: On April 1st, 2019, BBC released an article covering Joe Biden's denial of the recent allegations of misconduct that first appeared in an article by Lucy Flores, the victim of Biden's apparent misconduct. In her article, Flores stated that Biden had put his hands on her shoulders and kissed her on the forehead at a Democratic campaign event back in 2014. On Monday, a second woman, Amy Lappos, also came forward recalling a similar situation in which Biden had put both of his hands on her face and rubbed noses 10 years ago. Bill Russo, Mr. Biden's spokesman initially put out a statement that Biden nor his staff had ever recalled this situation, or that Ms. Flores had ever been uncomfortable at any time, but on Sunday, the former vice-president personally issued a statement affirming that he did not remember the incident, he promised to pay more attention to the former Nevada Assembly member, and is continuing on his preparations to run in 2020.

Analysis: Ehhhhhh I don't know how to feel about this one. Based what the world has seen of Biden from 2008-2016, it seems very out of character, but it's also important to remember that not even the media can catch every moment of a person's private life, and with the right brains anyone can hide a sinister side of themselves from the public if they feel the need. Biden has presented a very charismatic yet determined politician to the public eye, but then again that could be a crafted facade and act as a mask for the face of a monster. Personally, I highly doubt Biden actually did anything to these women with malicious intent, but rather his seemingly inappropriate gestures were most likely misinterpreted. I discussed this subject with a few friends before reading this article, but we never came to any kind of conclusion on the matter. This article was written by the writing staff at BBC (no specific names were credited), and this article was written to rise up conversation about the subject. I mean honestly what are we even supposed to say here, I never figured that out. Biden's allegations can be related to every single allegation of misconduct that has been fired at Trump that has been slid under the rug in order to have him remain in office.

  1. I think I’ve seen things about Biden being creepy or overly affectionate towards girls and women before, and while it’s not the worst thing ever, I think he needs to apologize and adopt behavior that won’t make people uncomfortable.
