historic landmarks are breaking apart or going extinct because us as humans aren't perserving them and it is our job too. I don't think nothing this major has happened to a building but i really hope this is the last time. Thoughts and prayers go to paris.

Burning of Notre Dame
Notre Dame Cathedral was fully built in 1260 after 100 years of construction. Citizens of France say that Notre Dame is a symbol of France and it symbolizes Freedom. It was devastating to hear that it was currently burning. Luckly no one was killed but some were injured. One artist drew Quasimodo holding Notre Dame and said that the world must embrace Notre Dame right now. The fire started around 7pm local time and nearby buildings were evacuated because of the chance that it could collapse. The firefighters stopped the fire from burning to the northern belfry throughout the night. Sadly some of the ceilings collapsed. They are going to rebuild the broken parts and have already gotten millions of dollars in donations.

This depressing fire caused a ton of outbreaks from people. Luckily, they were able to rescue and recover some of the pieces.
ReplyDeleteLuckily this historic site was not completely destroyed. The centuries of history attached to the Notre Dame are fascinating and it would be a tragedy to have them gone forever.
