West Texas electricity grid  is buckling under the pressure of Permian Basin power usage -Yesenia Ramirez

Summary: This article talks about how over the years the Permian Basin oil company has been increasing the amount of  electricity they use which is the same amount of energy of 280,000 houses. They have also increased the amount of production but seem to have a problem with electricity due to the over use of it. But, another issue is that it takes about  3-6 years to build a working power line so they have to find other ways to get their energy and think of alternative ways such as solar panels, natural gas. Another issue is that due to this over drilling production it has caused the region that they drill to become dry and very dusty not making it suitable for living.
This article was written by  Wire Services, 3 hours ago and there is two perspectives that the author shows. For example, he says that the company is trying to be resourceful with energy which is considered positive even though oil producing companies cause many pollution problems in our society and how the product is used. But, it also says how it affects the environment which is not good for any of us specially the people who live in that region. But the big dilemma here is the electricity on how ts being over used and its causing problems to the companies amount of production which is causing them to not gain as much money as they should because they are making less product and have to pay for the electricity. Even though  we might think is not a big issue it is because oil is used for many things and one of the most important ones is transport. The way i see this relate to history is when the Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad was taking place because on how we came up with such many inventions during this time period and how know days we are still finding new ways in how to improve things.
