Kanye Shut Up
So for all who don't watch SNL ( I don't either by the way - I'm just filling you in), Kanye was only there for a performance because Pete Davidson needs to be slapped, but that is not why we are ranting today.
Kanye was only supposed to sing/rap his 'music' and say nothing, but smile and emphatically wave. "Haha, you're hilarious cause that is NOT what he did." Said the person that saw SNL. "First off - let me get my grade okay, second we all know that, because Kanye is stupid," I reply. Anyway - he had on his infamously known "Make America 'Great' Again " hat, then just went in his brain and (basically) explained that Trump is his Senpai and how 'great' of a president he is.
He was booed the whole time - which was personally my favorite part of this whole episode- and Kim K, just sat there as if nothing was going on.
/////// FREE SPEECH/////////
Free speech is the topic that will get the grade. It's in our first amendment of the x amount of amendments there are in this "Trying to make Great again, but horribly doing it wrong, America" I can say anything and everything I want without it being a federal offense. A flaw of free speech is Kanye, and other forms of Kanye - as well as prejudice white southerners. But free speech was honestly one of the best things about America - even when used in the wrong matter. You can have confidence in what you say/believe without knowing death will tap you on the shoulder. Unlike Communist places - N.Korea, Cuba, Laos, China, and other places. Don't allow such liberty towards their lifestyle.
I understand your offensive by Kanye's comments but you can't tell him or anyone to shut up for voicing their opinion. I am not stating that I agree with all of Kanye's comments, but people are the first to say be yourself, do you, and think for yourself, so when someone does that, people want to say "SHUT-UP." It's his choice to say what he says and he can suffer whatever consequences whether it be positive or negative.

DeleteI somewhat agree with what you're saying. WE all have our right to free speech, but at the same time, just because you won't get arrested for saying something doesn't mean you should say it.
ReplyDeleteI think that rather than telling someone to just shut up because what they're saying is stupid it is much more proactive to hear what they say and then prove them wrong/ correct them and persuade them to see your point of view. If we dismiss people's opinions because we don't agree with them or they just sound ridiculous then they will get defensive and begin to dismiss us leading us into an infinite loop with no progress and only resentment.
ReplyDeleteI think dude seriously has got something goin wrong with him. It's like the older he's getting the less any of arguments really make sense together. I think he honestly is letting fame and money get to him.
ReplyDeleteI think its funny how your argument is free speech, and you have the authority to say what you want, however you're telling kanye that he can't say what he wants and he needs to "shut up". I may or i may not agree with what kanye is saying but that dosent mean that he infact does have freedom of speech as well.
