This is a problem for the Chines more then US but what the Chines are doing is the big question. The american ship was making a freedom check (which are just checks to see what the other country are doing)and when they got to close to the chines man made island they got aggressive. They went to the us ship and made damages on purpose to make it look like it was a collision. The ship had lots of damage and would be bad for the ships journey back home. This has been going on for a will but the US are trying to figure out what the Chines army is doing on the islands. Lots of ships don't want to get more then 1000 yards from another ship because there is a more likely ship wreck then if they were farther apart.
the chines have pretty much always been a mystery to america. The thing that we are most nervous for is there technology because they had good and powerful technology. They have amazing new technology that is out of our minds that we will make in like 2 or 3 years from when they do it. Even though lots of our produces are from China we don't know what they are doing and if they are importing e-legal thing from america. even though they don't have and army they still can defend them self very well with technology.
This article does sound alarming and it is true that Asian countries have way better weapons and nuclear bombs than us.Its also not fair for us for them to destroy our ships because we end up loosing money/supplies and they win. I also did a recent post on were the President talks about increasing China's supplies Taxes because they transport 4 times more than we do to their country and their gaining way more money than we do and China doesn't agree with this idea and thinks that the U.S. is blackmailing them.-Yesenia Ramirez
