Analysis:
This article was written on the first of October, 2018 and was published by politico. I had no prior knowledge about this problem until I came across it and I was extremely shocked. I just do not understand how one thinks that it is okay or acceptable to say those demeaning descriptions about people. There have been so many issues surfacing up over the last year that it is getting to the point of the subject not to be a surprise at all, which is an very unfortunate event. I cannot fathom on how one could be so out of tune with the world to say such a thing and have the audacity to apologize for it when it would benefit them. I guess that isn't such a surprise with politicians though. I am glad that our country keeps us up to date with these facts so we can weigh in on how the people that we are voting for treat our nation and the people in our nation. That is why it was written. This apology is like how our nation used derogatory words to describe blacks. Obviously not to the extent of the damage we gave to our fellow citizens, but they both are events where people of higher statis thinks it is okay to say such rude and uncalled for names for just human who have emotions just like they do.

  2. I totally agree. It’s so funny how he didn’t even recognize the problem until the public said something

  3. Im so sick and tired of this behavior from men. Whether joke or not an apology was desperately needed and I am pleased that he did. But I hope that this article will be able to show that those jokes aren't funny.
