The Trump administration is accusing thousands of Hispanic citizens of fake birth certificates and confiscating their passports leaving them in Mexico with little to no identification while others are sent to immigration detention centers with the threat of deportation. Midwives were used to legally birth babies in America, the government has stated that those cases are related to fraudulent activities and those people should be able to "provide additional documentation establishing they were born in the United States". If these individuals could not provide that evidence their passport would be revoked. I share the same viewpoint as the writer of this article, they are very confused and concerned as to why this is happening, and to such a large quantity of people. The Trump administration shouldn't be revoking as many innocent peoples passports as they are, their reasoning behind it is inadequate and should not be tolerated. The article mentioned the story of Juan, an American born citizen who works in a government job and has served for our nation whose passport was revoked when he tried to renew it. He is working with a $13 dollar an hour wage and is being charged legal fees because he was considered one of the people with a fake birth certificate, I believe that the Trump administration is abusing their power for the lesser good.
