Gunmen Attack in military parade
In Tehran, Iran-Gunmen were disguised as soldiers that attacked an annual Iranian military parade on Saturday killing at least twenty-four people and wounding fifty-three; now taking the name as the "bloodiest assault to strike the country". Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, wrote on Twitter "Iran will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of Iranian lives". Hours following the attack, state media and government officials seemed to come to the consensus that Arab separatists in the region were responsible. However Islamic State group later claimed responsibility in a message on its Amaaq news agency, but provided no evidence that it carried out the assault. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences after the attack struck.
