Gabriel Allen- Hurricane Florence is almost category five and is heading straight for the coast!

Hurricane Florence prompts mandatory evacuations as it nears Category 5 strength

By Emanuella GrinbergKaylee Hartung and Paul P. Murphy, CNN

Today mandatory evacuation orders were sent out to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia because of the category four, going onto five, hurricane Florence.  This hurricane is becoming more and more dangerous, in 12 hours the wind wind speed doubled from 30 mph to 60 mph. The president has declared an emergency allowing the use of federal funds. As of writing this, people are preparing to either flee away from the hurricane or hunker down until it passes, gathering as much supplies they need.
This is a really scary situation. I really hope that when hurricane Florence does hit that everyone is prepared. I really hope it isn’t a repeat of some of the devastating storms from last year.
The situation with hurricane Florence reminds me of all of the other hurricanes that hit last year. Especially, hurricane Harvey, with it being so close to home.  Victims of last year‘s hurricane are still recovering, and I really hope that the reconstruction after hurricane Florence is quick and painless.
