Diya Ghayal- Amsterdam Shooting

Summary-
Earlier today, two American citizens were stabbed at a railroad station in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The police in Amsterdam stated that the two Americans were simply visiting Amsterdam when this happened, and that they have detained, shot, and suspected a nineteen year old Afghan man. The suspect has a German residency permit, and the police have been in contact with German authorities trying to figure more out about his background. The police recently figured out that the suspect had a "terrorist motive", but they still have yet to find out more details. The Americans' injuries were serious but not life-threatening, however they are currently being treated in a hospital. The Amsterdam authorities stated that the victims were not chosen with clear reason, and the investigation is still commencing.

It is also in charge of notifying us of the condition, safety, and well-being, of the two American citizens, and how their recovery is going. This article is significant because it opens our eyes to see the true motives of some people, and what lengths they will go through, to achieve it. These small acts of terrorism definitely add up, and they affect everyone, usually negatively. This also effects the city of Amsterdam greatly, as some of their trams and stations, are currently shut down, and that their reputation has been some-what tarnished.
