Companies and brands like Nike usually like to stay away from political fray because they fear that it will push away customers. But four days before a new NFL season begins Nike brings out Colin Kaepernick as one of the "just Do It" slogan faces. Kaepernick later on tweeted the picture of him in the "Just Do It" ad with a caption that reads: " Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything." Because in the year 2016 Colin Kaepernick kneeled down on his knee during the national anthem to raise awareness about police brutality against African-Americans and other racial injustices. Also with Colin Kaepernick using the national anthem to protest an issue that began an issue and people began wondering and fighting as to using the national anthem for a use of a protest was okay or not.

With Colin Kaepernick beginning the protest it showed many people that no matter how risky it is he wanted to change something for the better even if it meant his whole career. Also I believe that what Nike did is great and it shows that what he was trying to do was for the better and I guess Nike tried to show everyone by putting him as one of the new faces of Nike.
