A Dallas police officer has recently shot an innocent man in his own apartment. Amber Gyuger was off duty and returning back to her apartment home. She parked her car on the wrong level and walked out and into the building. She proceeded to open the door to her apartment which was cracked open. Gauger heard noises and gun in hand called out orders to stand down. The man didn't stand down, and with two bullets, Botham Shem Jean was dead. This has been reported as the worst police shooting yet because Gyuger was in fact in the wrong apartment, hers being directly below, and a genuinely innocent man died. There have been many different altercations of this story, like altercations with the timeline and actions taken, but there is no clear narrative yet.
Published on September 13, this proves history repeats itself and doesn't change, just like the Boston Massacre, with fewer people, this demonstrates careless actions that have grave consequences. The author wrote this piece to inform the reader about the current injustices made against a fellow human being. There are no excuses for taking a life like that, relating to this existing event and the Boston massacre as well.

This is a very intense story. It was very well written, and I loved your connection to the Boston Massacre. It is crazy how much history does or does not change after so many decades.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you wrote and how you took this incident and related it to the incident in boston with the boston massacre. I never would have thought about that and made the connections. i agree with your opinions and what you said could not have been said better.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is a great connection to the Boston massacre also no human being deserves this
