On September 12, 2018 Apple released their three new iPhone XS sequel along with watches. The new iPhone XS, XS max, and XR all around the same cost of $1,000. Apple has really stepped up their game for their 10 year anniversary. The iPhone XR comes in different colors like, red, blue, yellow, corral, and black and white. Even though the XS is very similar to the X, Apple has made some really good improvements for the phone. For example, they made the faceID be faster/ more easily to read and has an option for 15GB of storage. Preorders for the phone will be available October 19th, and they will be at stores starting October 26th. I realize that the new iPhones are very expensive, but there are so many improvements made to their products it calls for that amount of money. Technology as a whole has grown so much in the past few years that pricing that high is truly needed for them to keep making/coming up with new ideas.

I do agree that Apple has made a few nice advances with their three new models, although in my opinion they all seem extremely similar to one another, with only a few differentiating factors such as size or color. At this point I feel as if Apple has hit a wall with its products, introducing an interesting development every now and then, but then solely interested in the commercial or economic aspect of the business, instead of further exploring quality or beneficial developments.
ReplyDeleteIt's frustrating that new iPhones are getting more expensive while older iPhones are continuing to become outdated. These new improvements are admirable, but really?
ReplyDeleteThough there are strides being made in technology, the "changes" being made in their products have become less and less appealing as the cost goes up, the phone size gets larger, and the number of people who actually get a new phone every time apple releases a new product goes down.

Technology has come a long way but as of now the changes that they make are relatively the same idea. For example changing the size of the phone or text messages or adding some more emojis. Being honest I think their stuff is over priced for what an older phone could also do.
