$30 Million Poured Into Effort to Energize Young Voters - Alma Alvarado-Cabrera

Madison,Wisconsin- Democrats know who their voters are, they just had to figure out a way to get them to the polls in November. At the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus this Summer students were greeted by therapy dogs and with that , they were asked to register to vote - a ''pups to the polls'' is one of the events being staged in 11 battleground states by the group NextGen in America. The reason behind this is that Young people tend to vote for  Democrats or eager to vote for someone who shared their political views on issues such as healthcare and immigration policy. NextGen America was formed by Tom Steyer who hopes this will be a game changer and by investing more than $30 million in what's believed to be the largest engagement of its kind in the U.S history. This is being focused on states such as Wisconsin, Virginia, California, and North Carolina with competitive races for congress. Media Coverage of competitive races , combined with the energy from March for our lives movement , has empowered young people and made them feel like its time to have their voice heard about what happens to their generation. Republicans recognize the movement of motivating young voters could have for Democrats but they're skeptical that participation will increase. Republicans have been targeting college voters for years now . NextGen sees young voters as key to flipping seats from red to blue.

Madison, Wisconsin, 2018, Change is actually being made in the US but its rarely out in the public.
I knew that young people are the ones that encourage the big movements in History , this affects my understanding and interpretation by encouraging me to vote for my own rights and make my voice be heard . All the walkouts and movements are encouraging young people to have knowledge and with knowledge we know what could be better for us. This article was written for all the young people and older . This is a positive influence to the audience. Scott Bauer is the author of this article, he focuses on politics and agrees with the way young people are being motivated and encouraged to get them to the polls in November. This article was written to pursue the young and to keep the older people alert about the changes young people are making and will make.  The point the article is trying to convey is that young voters are seen as key to today's decisions in politics. We're the new generation and we don't want to repeat the same mistakes from the past in History . NextGen is going to help many young people with their decisions in politics , it will keep us moving to bigger steps.
