The Olympic opening ceremony happened recently, and competition has been high. Team America’s not doing great, but the real failure is on the part of Katie Couric. She made a comment that Dutch speed skaters have an inherent advantage because they skate to work when the canal freezes. This is ridiculous for a number of reasons, the first of which is that the canal rarely freezes. Oops. Maybe she’ll do better when she talks about Canada’s inherent proficiency at hockey and apologies.
