On February 1st the police arrested a 12 year old girl for a discharge of a firearm at school. The shooting had injured four students but was just an accident. The girl told the police that at with her that the gun was in her backpack, and when she dropped her bag it went off. Only one student is in critical condition and the 3 others were injured. The police have been told they will survive. Many of the students were shaken up and saw their classmate go out in handcuffs. Police still don't know if the girl is telling the truth or if she had a different motive.
I don't understand why the girl had a gun and why she had taken it to school! Parents need to make sure if they have a gun they need to lock it up! Even though she says it was a accident it, she still injured 4 people. Kids these days are getting smarter by the minute and they need to be taught the seriousness of things like guns.

This is ridiculous! Why would a 12 year old have access to firearm. Let alone why would she be stupid enough to bring it to school. I believe the family needs too be investigated by CPS and the kid should be expelled and go to counseling
ReplyDeleteI agree that this is pretty crazy, but I don't think the child should be expelled. Maybe she did this as a cry for help, whatever the case I hope she gets help and I'm glad no one died.
