Emily Anderson- breast cancer shirt in question

This past Saturday, Brian Studdard was going to the restaurant Niki's West in Birmingham Alabama in celebration of his father's 99th birthday. He was wearing a bright pink shirt that said "breast matters" in honor of his friend who had recently died from breast cancer. The staff of the restaurant told him he had to change shirts in order to be served. Brian offered to turn it inside out, but that wasn't good enough for the restaurant owner. Soon enough, the owner called the police and they took Studdard out of the restaurant. He was told then that he was not allowed to come back either.
People took to social media with this in outrage saying that he was just supporting a good cause. Wearing something you believe in is a huge way in which you can bring awareness to a cause and help fight for it. This relates to the Vietnam War when many Americans protested by wearing black arm bands. They felt that Americans were dealing with too many fatalities and wounds than were good. They wore something to bring awareness to their views just like Studdard. Many people are outraged by this scene and lots have vowed to never eat at Niki's West again. This story just shows how quick people are to act on both sides of the story.

  1. JADA BROWN- That's crazy how they kicked him out like that, could the owner actually be against spreading the awareness of brest cancer? Yea, that';s exactly like Americans protesting with the black bands, there's always some haters.

  2. I just don't understand why the owner would do that, considering that the shirt wasn't even that questionable (at all) and it raised awareness for such a terrible disease.
