Texas and Oklahoma Flooding - Corsica Steding

This past weekend, 12 people were reported missing in Hays County, TX due to the record-setting rains.  The weather left three dead in Oklahoma, one dead in Texas and hundreds of homes destroyed.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott added 24 counties to the counties that are already under an emergency disaster declaration.  The majority of the flooding was around the border of Texas and Oklahoma.  The heavy rains are currently headed east, where floods are already abundant.

This article was written by Ben Brumfield for CNN on May 25th.  Before reading this article, I was personally very aware of the record-setting weather that had occurred over the weekend.  This article was written to inform the public of the effects that the storm had on Texas/Oklahoma, to tell people how they could help the victims of the storm, and to serve as a warning to the areas that the storm is headed towards.  The implications that this storm had were extensive and the fact that people lost their lives due to the storm is horrible.
