Protestors everywhere, friends and family members of Freddie Gray are overjoyed to hear that six Baltimore police officers will be facing charges in the death of Freddie Gray. Gray died after suffering a severe neck injury while being transported by the police officers. While being transported in the police van, it was stated that Gray was "handcuffed, shackled by his feet and unrestrained". The names of the officers are Caesar R. Goodson, Brian W. Rice, Alicia D. White, William G. Porter, Garrett E. Miller, and Edward M. Nero. The officers will face charges such as second-degree assault and involuntary manslaughter that could bring more than 10 years in prison.
I'm so glad that Freddie Gray and his family are finally getting the justice they deserve. I hope that the police officers being charged get the punishment they deserve and that this case prevents more things like this from happening in the future.

I think this sets an example for other Police officers that brutality will not stand and that they will have to pay the consequences. I am happy that the family can find closure from this and I think it will only help lead us into a better tomorrow.
