Hangar of Japan's Aircraft Carrier Sub Found - Corsica Steding

Last month, the University of Hawaii and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that they discovered pieces of a Japanese aircraft carrier submarine left from World War II.  It was originally discovered off the coast of Oahu in 2013.  Before the nuclear age, the I-400 that was found and its two sister ships were the largest submarines.  At the end of the war, this ship was one of the five that was captured by the U.S. Navy and sent to Hawaii for examination.

Brad Lendon and Zachary Cohen wrote this article on May 4th for CNN.  Before reading this article, I was solely aware of the historical background of these ships.  I did not know that they were still unaccounted for and lost at sea.  I think it's amazing that we have the technology to be able to uncover such a monumental piece of history.
