Sylwia Rachjel was a medical student in Poland. She went on a vacation to Spain, and while trying to take a selfie on the Puente de Triana, fell 150 feet to the ground below and died.
Many are quick to judge the youth of today and label them as "lazy" or "self-centered," but every generation has its faults. We look back at each past decade, and can describe them with only a few phrases. For example, the roaring 20's, hippies in the late 60's and early 70's, rock and roll in the 80's, and etc.
What people fail to see is that we are so much more than that. While there have been negative events throughout history, there have also been many positive in each generation. And maybe we are a little lazy and like to use the benefits of technology, but hey, what's wrong with that?

This is really tragic. It may seem that it was a foolish thing to do, but deaths happen and for many reasons. She was trying to record the memory she has made and instead she met her death. My prayers go out to her friends and family.
ReplyDeleteThis is like the planking trend where people went to drastic measures to get a new and exciting photo taken. It eventually lead to some people losing their lives because they pushed the bounds too far. Tragic for this woman as well.
