Kayla Michelle Finley spent a night in jail after failing to return a Jennifer Lopez movie to a video store that has gone out of business. She was allegedly sent multiple letters asking for her to return the VHS tape. Finley said that she didn't receive any letters and also said that her charges were ridiculous.
I also thing Finley's charges were a bit drastic. Spending a night in jail for having a very over due VHS tape is very drastic. She is also very embarrassed because now everyone knows she rented 'Monster in Law'.
I think that our (our parents since we don't pay them), tax dollars should be spent on cases like these. The prison industry receives billions of dollars a year, and what do we spend it on? Overdue movies. Gotta love 'Murica!
