Ellen Page finally comes out and says she's gay. She is tired of hiding who she is and lying about who she is.
She talks about how she suffered in her social life, and emotionally from hiding for so long. She wants to make a difference.
I think it's amazing that all these celebrities and athletes are finally coming out. This is something that people have been so ashamed of in the past, and its important that this is happening. Without large support, there is no way we will be able to move forward. It's very sad how these people, and all closeted people, have had to hide who they are for so long. No one deserves to endure that. Who cares if you're Gay, Straight, Bisexual, Transexual? It shouldnt matter.
I'm bi and I've never really been in the closet but when I did come out to just my family it was very uncomfortable and they still don't really believe me so when I think about how Ellen came out in front of so many people, and so eloquently at that, I'm really blown away. She puts it all into words and she's so graceful and perfect about it c:
