The Staggering number of women using IVF Joan Milburn pd. 1

More women than ever are using IVF(in vitro fertilization) to get pregnant. Clinics performed 165,172 procedures, including IVF, with 61,740 babies born as a result of those efforts in 2012. That is a staggering number as the numbers of IVF babies born each year increases. 2012 was the record year of in vitro babies. Now this trend doesn't mean that Americans are having more trouble having babies, many people are just having babies later in life which leads them to turn to in vitro.

I think this article is really quite interesting. I think that as long as IVF isn't hurting the women or the babies that it a good idea for couples longing for children that are having trouble conceiving, or people embarking on raising children later in life. Medicine really has come a long way.
